Styling My Website

Colour Choices

I chose to do a blue monochromatic colour scheme because the blue tones help show the arenas environment, this helps attach the design to the image. I thought that the blue shades keep the page looking minimalistic, simple, and visually appealing. I chose a medium shade of blue for my border because I thought that it helped make the darker blue (the whole main background) pop more, then i added a light blue for my headline because it matches the other tones of blue perfectly.

rgb (59, 76, 225) or #3B4CE1

For my background I chose to do an electric blue colour. I found that using this colour it helps show all the colours blend well together, this colour was found using the Adobe Colour Wheel.

rgb (91,111.224) or #5B6FE0

For the colour of the border I chose to do this medium blue because I find it makes the entire website page pop more, I found this colour using the Adobe Colour Wheel.

rgb (65,76,225) or #8398E0

For this colour I chose to make it a lighter blue from the rest of the colour because I noticed that it has a good contrast compared to the brighter blue in the background, this was found from the Adobe Colour Wheel.

Font choices

I decided to go with the font Radley for my website, I chose this because it is a classic, simplistic, readable font. Radley helps make my website stand out because it adds personality, this is because Radley isn't used as much as the "basic" fonts like Times New Roman. I find this font will catch my viewers attention and make the total website look more artistic and well thought out.
