Styling my site
My colour choices
I chose to do an analogous colour scheme because it creates a relaxing and calm atmosphere. Since the colours sit next to eachother on the colour wheel they blend nicely together and arent overwhelming. The pastel colours make the text easy to read and the focus is on the text not he background. This colour scheme also helps my website feel modern and aesthetic.
For the main colour of my page I chose to do a pastel purple as my main colour. To keep the theme calm and relaxing, while creating a little contrast to the other blue shades as the purple colour is the most different to the blues in my opinion. The chosen colour shown below, is RGB(196,181,253). Im using this main colour for my background and Title Text
RGB(196, 181, 253) or #BFB5FD
I used a lighter colour, baby blue for my 2nd colour, to nicely transition into the header, it blends well with the purple and doesn't overwhelm the viewer. I used this colour as the background for my top header
RGB(173, 216, 230) or #ADD8E6
I used a lighter teal colour for my body background. I used this colour to bring attention to the body text as its the most important. The teal colour is eye catching and enticing. This colour Is the one I used as my 3rd colour.
RGB(168, 230, 215) or #99AABB
The only other colour I used on my website was black. All the text is in black.
Typography
I chose to do Cantata one Serif font because it gives a classic, elegant, and sophiscated feel. Serif fonts are often associated with tradition, trust , and proffesionalism, which I wanted to use to make my website feel more polished. I wanted the overall feel of the website to be refined and classy while still being easy to follow.
