My Website Styling Choices
Colours
I'll talk a little about my colour choices for my website. For my website, I wanted to have a warm, calm tone for my site. I also wanted to have my website to be pretty neutral so that my images would pop, so I chose to use a monocromatic scheme with beiges and browns to achieve that.
These are the colours that are I used!
The main colour on my website is this light beige. I wanted to have a light colour that would make the my images pop!
rgb(248, 225, 203) or #F8E1CB
This is the colour I used for my paragraphs! I wanted a relatively light colour, a colour that would be inbetween my header colour and my main colour.
rgb(226, 191, 158) or #E2BF9E
My headers and my footer use this colour. I wanted my headers and my footers to be more noticable than my paragraphs and the other sections in my website, so I chose a darker colour.
rgb(192, 156, 122) or #C09C7A
My texts are written in this colour! A darker colour so the text is readable, but lighter than the background colour. The headers have a slightly darker colour to exaggerate them more!
rgb(94, 68, 45) or #5E442D
rgb(63, 45, 29) or #3F2D1D
My background uses this colour! I didn't want the background to be noticed that much, so I chose very dark brown.
rgb(80, 58, 38) or #503A26
For my header links, I used a lighter colour to make them be more obvious to the eye!. I wanted the links to be obvious and not obsured so the lighter backgound with a lighter outline and text was my decision.
rgb(216, 191, 168) or #D9C0A8
rgb(112, 86, 61) or #70563D
I wanted the links to be on something so I chose a lighter colour for that too.
rgb(250, 235, 215)or #FAEBD7
When you hover over the links, they turn a darker colour so that its obvious that you are hovering that link.
rgb(179, 157, 137) or #B39D89
rgb(80, 61, 43) or #503D2B
These links turn a different colour when you are on the page they lead to. These are the colours I used for that.
rgb(148, 119, 93) or #94775d
rgb(63, 45, 29) or #3F2D1D
Fonts
I used 2 differnts fonts in my website! I wanted to give off a hand-written vibe as this website is sort of an online sketchbbok archive for me.
I used the font 'Sour Gummy' by Stefie Justprince for my paragraphs and most of my headers as the font is a clean and is imperfect. A perfect font for my website!

The font for my main headers is called 'Nanum Pen Script' by Sandoll Communication. As this is a header and not something that people need to read a lot of, I was able to choose more of a decorative font. Sticking to my sketchbook style, I chose to use a handwritting that is relatively clear while still holding onto that imperfection or actual handwriting!
