How I Styled My Site
My Colour Choices
For my website, I decided to go with a monochromatic colour scheme because of its cohesive appearance. I chose to do a blue-green colour because a majority of my background is cool-toned. I chose my three colours using the colour wheel and eyedropper tool from the Colour Harmonies PowerPoint presentation.
For the border of my page, I used my darkest colour from the colour wheel. To find the value of the colour, I clicked the item I coloured, and used the "More Fill Colours..." option to see the RGB and hexadecimal values.
RGB(56, 174, 174) or #38AEAE
To get my second lightest shade, I did the same process. However, I chose a colour three shades lighter. I used this colour for my header.

To get my third lightest shade, once again, I repeated the same process. I chose a colour three shades lighter than my second colour to fufill the monochromatic colour scheme.
RGB(169, 220, 221) or #A9DCDD
The only other colours I used for my website was white for my menu, as well as black for all my text.
